Thanks for another trip down memory lane, when inclusions were straightforward and effect sizes were huge on the hardest of outcomes. You simply don’t see stuff like this anymore.
This trial has been bedrock to my practice since publication. That said, it excludes NYHA 1 and 2 pts which constitutes the majority (at least in a general cards practice like mine) so the later Emphasis HF study was helpful in inferring a class effect on a more prevalent pt subset (at least for me).
