This trial came out when I was a fellow. It has guided my decision for identifying NSTEMI pts who would benefit from early invasive strategy since day 1 of my practice. The TIMI risk score was particularly useful in the days before smart phones, as there was no way back then to quickly calculate GRACE score at bedside but I could easily remember a 7 point scoring scale.
It should also be noted that subsequent trials like ICTUS showed that elevated trop alone in NSTEMI was a poor indicator of benefit of early invasive strategy. That further cemented my use of TIMI risk score in my hospital practice.
Great read
Thanks for trip down memory lane.
